Every Hero Deserves a Home Ground: KK9R Partners With T1 for a Special Adoption Campaign

This August, Korean K9 Rescue is joining forces with global esports organization T1 Entertainment & Sports and Purina Pro Plan to help more rescue dogs find the families they deserve.

From August 14–16, KK9R will host a special adoption booth at the 2026 LCK Team Roadshow: T1 Home Ground at KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with our adoption counselors, and begin the adoption process at the event.

The dogs participating in the campaign were rescued from South Korea’s streets, illegal puppy mills, and high-kill shelters. After receiving veterinary care and rehabilitation, they are now ready to begin a new chapter with permanent families of their own.

T1 will cover the adoption fees and initial care expenses for every dog adopted through the campaign. Each adopted dog will also receive a welcome kit provided by Purina Pro Plan.

Whether you are ready to adopt or simply want to learn more about rescue, we hope you’ll stop by, meet the dogs, and spend some time with the KK9R team.

Our booth will also feature exclusive campaign merchandise, including limited-edition photocards of T1 players with KK9R rescue dogs, available while supplies last.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from merchandise sold at the booth will go directly to Korean K9 Rescue, supporting our rescue, rehabilitation, and animal-welfare programs.

Additional booth activities and programming will be announced through KK9R’s official channels before the event.

Inspired by T1 Home Ground’s Liberation Day theme, “Every Hero Deserves a Home Ground,” this campaign shines a light on rescue dogs who are still waiting for a place, and a family, to call their own.

Since 2017, Korean K9 Rescue has helped more than 3,700 dogs find loving homes after rescuing them from the dog meat trade, illegal puppy mills, high-kill shelters, and abandonment. Today, our rescue and rehabilitation center in Bundang cares for approximately 130–140 dogs at any given time.

With South Korea’s dog meat ban scheduled to take full effect in 2027, partnerships that encourage adoption and expand public awareness are more important than ever.

**With our dogs’ safety as our top priority, no dogs will be physically present at this outdoor summer event due to the extreme heat. Instead, our booth will offer adoption counseling, adoption applications and approvals, as well as giveaway events. Our dogs will remain comfortable and cool at our rescue center.**
