With the support of our dedicated team and partner organizations, Korean K9 Rescue has helped save over 3,500 dogs from dire situations. In South Korea, where adoption rates remain low, many dogs face uncertain futures. We transport them to the U.S. so they have the opportunity to find loving, forever homes.
We are also proud to be a New Hope Partner with NYC Animal Care Centers (NYCACC), working together to alleviate shelter overcrowding and expand lifesaving efforts locally. Through this collaboration, more dogs are given the second chance they deserve.
As a foster-based rescue, our dogs live in loving homes before adoption. This allows them to decompress, build confidence, and show their true personalities in a home environment.

Last year during the widespread wildfires in Andong, South Korea, our team and partners braved the flames to rescue as many animals as we could. Though it’s painful to think of what she went through, we’re glad she’s with us now and her scars are only proof of her bravery! You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. Meet Numi | Apply Here | Videos Numi is a petite 35lb, 6 year old Jindo mix with a long body and little legs. In 2020, our team and partners rescued over 100 dogs from a factory in Paju, South Korea. What originally started as a few dogs on the property, rapidly became a hoarding situation where the gene pool was very limited. Despite the guardian’s efforts, things were quickly out of his control and rescuers needed to step in. Since then, Numi’s two puppies and most of the relatives of the rescue have found wonderful forever homes all over the world. Numi would do best in a home outside of NYC

Meet Remi | Apply Here | Videos Remi is a lively, clever 2 year old Terrier Mix. Remi is about 25 pounds. She came to us from NYC ACC and needed a calm, supportive environment to flourish which is exactly what she’s been getting since coming into our care. Remi is excelling at crucial skills like impulse control, settling independently, and understanding the value of play. She is energetic, playful, and full of personality, with a knack for making her humans laugh. She still benefits from guidance and encouragement as she builds confidence and expands her world. Remi would thrive in an adult-only home with no cats, where her adopter can provide consistent structure, enrichment, and opportunities for play and learning. She is eager for a family ready to match her energy and wit. Remi is part of our FTA VIP program, a foster-to-adopt initiative that provides promising adopters with up to 30 days to acclimate while we supply food and training support. Her training package is partially sponsored, ensuring her forever family has all the tools for success. Remi’s adoption fee is $300. To learn more about Remi's rescue story, click here. Dorori

Details:
About:
Now in the states, Dorori is continuing on her upward journey. She may be a little shy and timid at first as she adjusts to the hustle of the big city. Once she’s had some time to ground herself though, this lovely lady is curious and ready to explore with you. She loves her downtime in her crate - and we love a dog that loves their independence! She’s slowly but surely coming out of her shell; little playful moments and sweet glances let us know she’s ready to find her forever family.
Dorori is also eligible for our Jindo Journey Training Stipend! This means she and her future family are eligible to receive $300 towards their training package - an opportunity to fully thrive for the long haul with guidance and support from trainers that know our dogs well!

Fiona

Details:
About:
Though she is definitely enjoying her time with alumni Belle, Fiona is eager to find her happily ever after. She’s loves lounging around the house and having a variety of plush bed and blankets at her paw tips. Fiona was totally down to explore in the snow, but with warmer days we’re seeing her love for sunbathing and warm air. Long walks on the beach are becoming a favorite of hers.
If you’re a cozy gal or guy looking for a cozy companion, Fiona is the perfect one. No shenanigans here, just a love for the simple things!
Haneul

Details:
About:
Now that he knows his future is bright, this little man is the light of every party. At our center he kept our trainers laughing with his fast zoomies and wiggly pancaking when he wanted pets. He’s been so much fun and is just as sweet as can be!
In foster care, Haneul continues to thrive and enjoy his expanding horizons. He’s a big fan of his foster brother and has been learning that not every minute of the day needs to be playtime! He’s an absolute pro in his crate though and is ready for naptime whenever it’s crate time. Haneul is a love bug but happy to just be in the presence of his humans. Outside he’s taking the streets by storm! No one can seem to resist this guy’s smile and strut - he’s quickly found his footing and is so confident it’s like he’s always lived here.
Hasol

Details:
About:
Ball is definitely life for Hasol and more recently he’s taken up to watching the local fauna. With a little redirection he’s learned to just observe squirrels and birds, but he’s a big fan. He’s gaining confidence outside every day and loves nothing more than to run around on a long leash.
Inside Hasol is doing well with crate training and settling in! Day by day he’s learning more independence and figuring out city life. He loves being loved on and will try to climb in your lap - obviously because he’s lap sized. Hasol likes playing with his foster brother and checking out all of the unusual human belongings in his foster’s home. This guy is definitely smart and a keen observer! With consistency and confidence-building we know he’ll be the perfect forever friend.
Hero

Details:
About:
Initially rescued from an overcrowded high-kill shelter in Haman, South Korea, Hero has come such a long way. Though he can still be a bit reserved, he definitely has taken to his daily walks through the neighborhood with his foster. He especially likes meeting new pup friends along the way, and getting in thorough sniffs of flowers and city smells. He’s been an A+ student in all things manners and obedience from impulse control to crate training too.
Hero would do best in a home that takes it slow and lets him have some space while encouraging his confidence to grow. He likes a good challenge with support! With consistency and someone leading the way, we know this little guy will be the absolute best friend you could ask for.
Making his debut this weekend, Hero will be at our Sniffs and Sunshine event on Saturday!

About:
Numi

Details:
About:
This girl is a little extra special though, so her adoption journey has taken a bit longer. Currently, she’s been diagnosed as fully blind in both eyes due to advanced cataracts and chronic glaucoma. Numi is absolutely in no pain from this though, and proves more every day how resilient she is! At first meet, you might not even realize that she’s blind - she maneuvers very well both inside and out, engages with her fosters happily, and lifts her head to sniff the fresh air often.
Numi is very mellow and lowkey - she loves a good nap and adores belly rubs and neck scritches. Though she needs a special family willing to take things slow and tackle the world with her, she’s honestly a perfect little gal. She does wonderfully in her crate, is good with her house training, triumphs obstacles and new paths outside like a pro, and is already becoming more and more playful. She would thrive most outside of the city since she can be a little unsure of loud city noises.
For now, we’re only having private meet and greets for lovely Numi to reduce her stress and avoid overstimulating her in the city. But don’t let that stop you from applying!! Pre-approved adopters can meet her and her foster family one-on-one! Just connect with our team if you’re already approved or waiting to interview. Tap the link in our bio to submit your application too!

Rudy

Details:
About:
Rudy’s personality is that moment where you hit 30 and you still want to be a party girl but your body requires a bedtime of 9pm… You get it. She’s totally down for a good time, so long as you allocate time for naps and get her some pizza before the night is over.
She’s doing exceptionally well since her arrival and really seems to enjoy her feline foster sibling of equal size. So much so that Rudy has claimed part of the cat tree as her own. Fear not, she really enjoys strutting through the neighborhood especially on a sunny day. She’s the best of both worlds - cozy silly girl inside, and a speedy friend outside.
Honestly, this dog is the biggest mood and you can’t convince us otherwise.
Come meet this queen in all her tiny glory this Saturday!

About:
Though Tokki just came into our care, he is already turning heads in his fosters neighborhood. A lovely lady even dubbed him a Himbo and honestly? Yep! With looks this good you don’t need brains, but Tokki is very mindful and demure even still.
Tokki loves his walks and sunbathing when he can. He loves having a variety of toys to play with or chew on at his leisure. And when he’s really having a good time, his tongue almost hits the floor.

Details:
About:
Zzokpa is the quiet observer of the group - she’s carefully watching from the sidelines to figure out what everyone else is up to. She has quickly proven her bravery as she explores the neighborhood with her foster family though. Between sniffs and little strides, Zzokpa is an excellent walking buddy and seems generally unbothered by the city sights and sounds.
After a week of settling into her foster home, she’s began enjoying house time in the common areas, but not exactly how you’d expect a young pup to! Zzokpa is curious and alert while outside, but inside she is a big fan of naps. Most of her days so far have been spent napping in the various plush options of beds available. Occasionally she will follow you to a different room, but generally she is very low-key!
Zzokpa is doing wonderfully with her crate and house training, and continues to wow her foster family with her leash manners. She definitely needs a patient person willing to lean into her outdoor bravery and give her space and time to fully warm up to home living.

About:
Though Pollo greatly benefits from some structure and a gentle, patient hand, he also thrives with a go with the flow mindset. Pollo loves romping around in the park and has absolutely mastered his recall with his foster @sofiatashmandogtraining
He’s a big fan of anything fun and is very easily caught in a zoomie run! He likes to play chase with his furry foster sibling and foster alike. Pollo is also super sweet and loving once he feels safe; he often gets so into pets and rubs that he’ll twist all around his foster in excitement.
This guy would be an amazing hiking partner down the line! Because of his need for extra time to feel safe and comfortable with new people, Pollo needs an experienced adopter or someone willing to put in the work to earn his affection and trust.
If your heart skipped a beat tap the link in our bio and fill out an application! Who knows, maybe you’re the match Pollo has been waiting for.
