Last week, Korean K9 Rescue joined our rescue partners in responding to an active dog slaughterhouse in Seogu, Incheon, after authorities were alerted to dogs in immediate danger.
When our team arrived, the situation was incredibly volatile. Local officials issued an emergency order to remove the surviving dogs, but the operator refused to cooperate, creating a dangerous situation for everyone involved.
Inside, the conditions were heartbreaking.
The dogs had been surviving in filthy enclosures with contaminated food and stagnant water. Every corner reflected prolonged neglect. While we will spare you the worst of what was found behind closed doors, it is impossible to describe the suffering these dogs had endured.

Despite the challenges on the ground, six dogs were safely removed from the property.
They are now receiving care at an Incheon city quarantine facility, where they can finally rest, receive veterinary treatment, and begin recovering from the trauma they experienced. Once they are released from quarantine, Korean K9 Rescue and our rescue partners will ensure each dog has a safe place to continue their journey toward a new life.
Our rescue center was already beyond capacity when this emergency call came in. Like so many of our recent rescues, these dogs arrived when we had no room left, but walking away was never an option.
Every emergency rescue brings unexpected medical costs, transportation, food, and ongoing care. Your support allows us to say “yes” when dogs have nowhere else to turn.
To everyone who donated, shared our posts, or stood with us during another heartbreaking rescue, thank you. Because of you, six dogs who were facing an unimaginable fate are now safe, and their future is finally filled with hope.
