KK9R Alumni Pups, Adopters, and Trainers Attend KS Dog Agility Workshop

On March 23rd, some of KK9R alumni pups and adopters joined us for a special training field trip to Kim Seiter’s Dog Agility in Oak Ridge, NJ!

Many thanks to the adopters of Oliver, Zeus, Astro, Grace, and Autumn for attending this session; big thanks to our own KK9R trainers, Hannah and Johnny, who attended with their own pup; and the biggest thanks and shoutout to Kim Seiter for conducting this wonderful training workshop for us! We know everyone loved it and we can’t wait to spread the word!

From KS Dog Agility’s Facebook page:

“KS Dog Agility welcomed Korean K9 Rescue, adopters and friends yesterday to a introduction to agility seminar! What a fantastic group of people, dedicated to helping these dogs have a better life than the cages of a meat farm in Korea. These dogs are tortured and abused as food for humans.

There are some real agility superstars in this group and I was amazed to see how well socialized and capable of learning these dogs were! It is truly a pleasure to give back to rescue. Please check out there website; www.koreank9reacue.org and consider a donation. And keep an eye out for my new foster…. “splinter”, which I have nicknamed “Shere Kahn” “tiger” as he is Korean Jindo Tiger dog rescued a few months ago from a meat farm that was closed down. He was found in small cages with his litter mates, shut down and withdrawn. I’m truly impressed with the work Gina Boehler, her trainers and foster homes do with these dogs!”

Here is some additional information about Kim Seiter’s Dog Agility training:

“…. Her positive training methods are based off of initiating the dog’s natural ability to learn. Dogs will have the opportunity to learn many tricks which assist in teaching them how to use their body… Toys and food are used as rewards for desired behaviors, creating a very happy motivated canine training partner. Agility is a terrific way to extend your relationship with your dog into a fun active sport you both will enjoy.”
